Introducing the new Silicone Sock-X, designed especially for the Nextruder Hotend on Prusa MK4 and XL printers. While maintaining a design similar to our socks for Prusa Mini and MK3 printers, and boasting an impressive heat resistance of up to 300°C, this sock ensures a perfect fit and reliable protection for your Hotend.
This update offers several key advantages:
1. Heater block insulation: Keep the heater block insulated to prevent it from cooling down due to the part cooling fan.
2. Goodbye to plastic adhesion: This new silicone prevents plastic from adhering to the heater block, significantly reducing the likelihood of filament blobs and printing issues.
3. Screw hole coverage: The holes for the thermistor and heater screws are protected, preventing plastic residue from filling the screw heads and making it easier to disassemble the heater cartridge and thermistor in case of breakage.
4. Reduced heat radiation: Decreased heat radiation from the heater block creates a cooler environment and improves part cooling during printing.
These silicone socks have been meticulously designed and are custom-made for the Original Prusa MK4 and XL printers.
When using the silicone socks for the first time, you may detect a slight odor that will dissipate with continued use. Despite being more durable than the Sock-V2, it's important to handle them with care when putting them on and taking them off to extend their lifespan.
